The car is now undergoing a full rebuild with new bodywork – see pics 8-12 in the gallery – and will be fitted with an Aprilia RSV 1000 engine mated to a Quaife ATB (having a reverse gear, fitting inside original engine compartment. Completely reworked front suspension with remounted upper wishbones. Tubular rear trailing arms, all with coil overs. Bodyshell will be left largely original, with steel inner arches and possibly GRP Assetto corsa style flared outers. The finished car will feature in our engine swap gallery.
